"Experience the Capitol of Your True South” Bed & Breakfast Association of Mississippi Annual Conference July 16-17, 2009, Jackson, MS
Whether you are a Bed & Breakfast owner or not you are cordially invited to participate in our "Experience the Capitol of Your True South,” this year’s Annual Conference of the Bed & Breakfast Association of Mississippi (BBAM) taking place at the Old Capitol Inn in Jackson, July 16-17. 2012. This year’s conference theme celebrates Mississippi, acclaimed by surveyed travelers as most representative of "Your True South.” In addition to the regular program, current or interested folks can get excited about participating in an Aspiring Innkeeper Workshop on Sunday 15 July and a Guided & Narrated Tour of historic sites celebrated in the story of "The HELP” on Monday morning 16 July. Both of these activities are offered as options at additional cost to participants.
This year’s full program includes fun revelry with aspiring and current B&B innkeepers to gain helpful insight on topics relevant to today’s business climate by well-known personalities. Our speakers include the energetic Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII) President & CEO Jay Karen, the delightful Director of Mississippi Development Authority (MDA)/Tourism Division, Mary Beth Wilkerson, knowledgeable Thomas Broadus, specialist on social media and digital media marketing and technologies, and the well-known Dave Hamilton, hospitality industry training expert. Our program also includes a Marketing Workshop on "Brainstorming Strategies to Individually & Collectively Increase Business,” facilitated by the highly regarded Peter Sharp, recent past president of BBAM, and an Innkeeper Panel on "Strategies to Survive the Current Economy for Small, Medium & Large Properties,” facilitated by Ron Fry, current BBAM president. Our program will allow you to improve skills, relax among like minds and network with active innkeepers.
You have a number of ways to enjoy this year’s conference: You may register for the Aspiring Innkeeper Workshop (workshop, notes & lunch, $140); register for the Full Conference (meals & sessions $140/person); register the Monday "HELP” Tour ($35/person for a minimum 15 participants); or choose the Tuesday Only Registration (meals & sessions, $90/person).
